Participation Agreement

Agreement for Participation in the Timeless Wisdom Training U.S. 2025-26

This Agreement for Participation in the Timeless Wisdom Training U.S. 2025-26 (“Agreement”) is made between (“Participant” or “You”) and Inner Science LLC (“Provider” or “Us” or “We”), a Delaware limited liability company with offices located at 2 Ranch Drive, Novato, CA 94945, for participation in the Timeless Wisdom Training in the United States (“Program”), which commences on February 20, 2025 and concludes on December 6, 2026.

The Program includes four in-person and seven online retreats. The schedule of retreat dates is incorporated into this Agreement as Exhibit A. In between retreats, additional activities may include but are not limited to: mentoring calls led by Assistant team members, triad group meetings, and various homework assignments.

Participant’s signing of this Agreement, accompanied by payment of a non-refundable deposit of $600, secures Participant’s participation in the Program and confirms Participant’s agreement to the terms set forth below.

Participant hereby acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. Participant will attend all scheduled in-person retreats and online retreats during the entire two-year Program. Full attendance is required to receive a Certificate of Completion for the Program. With permission from Provider, Participant may be allowed up to 2.5 days of excused absences per year and still qualify for the Certificate. A limited number of Participants are admitted into the Program, and any absences have a significant impact on the group work and may deny others the chance to participate.

2. Participant is required to stay at the retreat center for every in-person retreat. Participant must arrive by the start date and time and remain until the end date and time of each retreat. Any exceptions to this policy must be requested by Participant in writing and approved by Provider in advance. A limited number of exceptions will be granted based on circumstances such as travel or visa restrictions, health issues, and disabilities.

3. Participant is responsible for all lodging, food, and travel expenses for in-person retreats. Participant will book all accommodations directly with the retreat center and will be independently bound by those terms and conditions. If Participant cancels lodging at an in-person retreat, Participant will be responsible for all cancellation costs and fees imposed by the retreat center as well as any nightly room charges billed to Provider as a result of the cancellation.

4. Participant will comply with all health and safety guidelines and relevant legal requirements in force at the time of the Timeless Wisdom Training 2025/2026, including the guidelines of the national and local health authorities, the retreat center facility and by Provider. Failure to comply with health and safety guidelines may result in termination of Participant’s participation in the Program.

5. Prohibition of alcohol and drugs. Because of the intensive nature of the Program, it is recommended that participants abstain from using recreational drugs at any time during the two-year Program. At minimum, Participant must not consume marijuana, plant medicines, psychedelic substances, or other recreational drugs two weeks before or during the in-person and online retreats (excluding medications used as prescribed by a physician). Consuming alcohol is also prohibited during the retreats. Participants who violate this policy will be required to leave the retreat and may be asked to leave the Program. Some participants may be asked to commit to reduce their use beyond this minimum to ensure they can participate safely and benefit fully. If such an agreement is made as a condition of participation, Participant will abide by the agreement.

6. If Provider determines, in its sole discretion, and at any time, that Participant is not suited for participation in the Program for any legally permissible reason, Provider will inform Participant in writing and reimburse all fees paid to date for the period after termination. Upon receipt of such notice, Participant shall cease all participation in the Program. Provider may also exclude Participant in whole or in part from an individual in-person or online retreat. Circumstances in which Participant may be asked to leave the Program include but are not limited to:

  1. Concerns about Participant’s physical or mental well-being and safety
  2. Participant’s consumption of alcohol, marijuana, plant medicines, psychedelic substance, or other drugs or intoxicants during a Program retreat (excluding prescribed medications)
  3. Participant engages in conduct that threatens the safety or participation of others:
    • Disruptive behavior that interferes with others’ participation or Provider’s ability to deliver the program;
    • Verbal or physical abuse, harassment, or threats against anyone associated with the program (including any staff);
    • Sexual harassment, including inappropriate advances, unwanted comments and physical touching, harassing photography or recording, and stalking
    • Failure to comply with health & safety policies;
    • Violation of the confidentiality agreement (as described in item 9 below)

7. Program content is subject to change at the sole discretion of Provider. While unlikely, retreat dates and locations are subject to change. If necessary to comply with government restrictions or due to circumstances outside of Provider’s control, in-person retreats may instead be shifted to be held online during the same dates. In the event that Provider changes the retreat dates or locations, Provider will exercise leniency in the mandatory in-person participation requirement.

8. Tuition and Payment Terms. Participant must sign the Tuition Payment Plan Agreement, which specifies the payment terms and cancellation policy for the Program.

9. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure.

  • Participant will keep the identities and personal information of other participants confidential.
  • Unless consent is given by Provider, Participant may not record, film, reproduce, or distribute the Program lectures or teaching materials.
  • Participant will not allow any persons not enrolled in the Program, regardless of age, to participate in the retreats or to make the retreat content accessible to them. This includes without limitation, especially in the case of online events, not making live streamed video/audio, video/audio recordings, images, and materials available to other people in Participant’s physical location. Sharing Program video/audio recordings, images, and materials in physical or digital form at any time with any persons not enrolled in the Program is prohibited.
  • No promotion or advertising: Participant must not advertise any products or services, solicit donations, solicit clients, or offer therapeutic or any other services to other participants in the Program. Participant must not use the contact list of participants for marketing or other commercial or personal purposes other than as part of Program participation.

10. Consent to photographs, video, and audio recordings. In an effort to strike a balance between furthering the learning communities fostered by Provider and respecting the confidentiality of participants’ sharing during the Program, the parties agree to the following:

  • Participant is aware that Provider (directly or through its partners) will make video and audio recordings of Program events (“recordings”) and take photographs of the Program events (“photographs”). Provider will use recordings and photographs for internal training purposes and to be able to make them available to the Participant and other participants of the events.
  • Participant hereby consents to the recordings and photographs. If a recording includes your voice and you are identifiable, Provider will obtain your consent to use the recording outside of the Program (the “Limitation”). Provider undertakes this Limitation in recognition of the importance of protecting the confidentiality of sharing that occurs in the Program. Participant hereby grants Provider and its agents the right to use and exploit Participant’s voice, image, and name in the recordings for any purposes subject to the Limitation and Participant’s image in photographs without limitation for documentary and publicity purposes.
  • Provider is the sole owner of the recordings and photographs, including all copyrights, for an indefinite period of time and worldwide. Participant acknowledges that he/she/they has no interest or ownership in the recordings and photographs or their copyrights. The rights to the recordings and photographs are granted without remuneration and also include the right to archive and edit them (provided that the editing is not distorting). Participant acknowledges that Provider’s rights are without payment of fees, royalties, special credit, or other compensation and may be exercised in any recording format now known or developed in the future.

11. Assumption of all risks. The Program includes psychological, social, and spiritual exercises that might be strenuous, stressful, and trigger physical, mental, psychological, and spiritual reactions, and Participant knowingly accepts this possibility and the results of such releases and disorientations. Participation also includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. Program participation presents risks and dangers that cannot be eliminated, and even if a risk or danger could have been eliminated, this does not always occur. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Program, Participant assumes full responsibility for all risks, injuries, or damages, even those caused by the negligent acts or conduct of the Provider, including Thomas Hübl and all the Provider’s owners, agents, attorneys, successors and assigns, insurers, independent contractors, and employees (referred to individually and collectively as “Releasees”), that might occur as a result of participating in the Program.

12. Indemnification. Participant shall indemnify and hold harmless Releasees from all liability for any loss, damage, injury, death, illnesses, or expense that Participant may suffer, arising out of participation in the Program. Participant shall indemnify the Releasees for costs, expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs), and losses caused by Participant. This Agreement supplements any common law rights to indemnification to which Releasees may have.

13. Limitation of Liability. PROVIDER’S LIABILITY TO YOU IS LIMITED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PROVIDER BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO PROVIDER TO ATTEND THE PROGRAM (OR THE MINIMUM LIMIT REQUIRED BY LAW) OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, OR LOST DATA, REGARDLESS OF THE FORESEEABILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM OR ANY MATERIALS OR SERVICES PROVIDED TO YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROGRAM OR THIS AGREEMENT. THIS LIMITATION SHALL APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE DAMAGES ARISE OUT OF BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY OR FORM OF ACTION AND REGARDLESS OF THE FAILURE OF ANY ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OR REMEDY. IN THE CASE OF ANY CLASS ACTION, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $5000 FOR THE CLASS.

15. General Terms. This Agreement is governed by California state law. Venue for all disputes shall exclusively be Marin County Superior Court, California; except that Provider may enforce any judgments or bring injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Participant irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts and waives the defense of inconvenient forum to the maintenance of any such action or proceeding in this venue. If Provider prevails in any dispute or must undertake action to collect any fees or expenses from Participant, it shall be entitled to receive from Participant an amount equal to its reasonable attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses (including without limitation collection costs).–This Agreement is the entire agreement between the parties related to the Program. This Agreement may only be modified by a writing signed by an authorized representative of the Provider. To the extent any of these terms conflict with applicable U.S. state or local law, the terms are hereby modified to the extent necessary to comply with that applicable law.
